Paper-look labels with the toughness of film

Many brands want the soft, natural look of a paper label. Ours is a matte-finish white BOPP film, so it looks calm and uncoated yet shrugs off moisture, scuffs and oil. It is a good fit for craft food, thank-you stickers and shipping labels.

Good to know

What paper-look means (and does not)

Looks natural, behaves tough

The matte finish gives a low-sheen, uncoated feel, while the BOPP film beneath keeps the label waterproof and tear-resistant.

Not for writing on

A finished surface does not take pencil or ballpoint like uncoated paper does. Leave a printed field for a stamp, or print the information.

Natural palettes

Earth tones, cream, kraft and black print beautifully on matte. Very dark, saturated colours look richer under gloss.

Honest wording

We call these paper-look labels rather than paper labels so there is no surprise: the material is film.

Our recommendation

Our material recommendation

Pick matte finish on white stock for paper-look labels. If you specifically need uncoated paper that can be written on, tell us in a custom quote request and we will confirm what we can supply. For wet or chilled products, matte on BOPP is already a sound choice.

Questions about paper-look labels

Are these real paper labels?

No. They have a paper-look matte finish on BOPP film. If you need true paper, ask us for a custom quote.

Can I write on them?

Not reliably with pencil or ballpoint. Some markers work on the finish, so test one before you rely on it.

Can they be used on food packaging?

They are used on the outside of packaging. Food-contact and labelling requirements are your responsibility; see our industry pages for notes.

Can I choose gloss instead?

Yes. Gloss finish is available in the builder.

Roll labels are the workhorse of product packaging: printed on a continuous roll so you can hand-apply them to jars and bottles or feed them through a label applicator.

Bakery labels

Bakery packaging is usually plain kraft, white boxes and clear bags, which makes the label the whole brand.

Coffee labels

A coffee label has to sell the roast from a crowded shelf, survive kraft bags and countertop spills, and leave room for the details buyers look for: origin, roast, tasting notes.

Honey labels

Honey is a gift as much as a food: customers look at the jar for the story, the colour and the hive it came from.
