Coffee labels for bags, tins and cold-brew bottles

A coffee label has to sell the roast from a crowded shelf, survive kraft bags and countertop spills, and leave room for the details buyers look for: origin, roast, tasting notes. We print small and large runs so you can launch a seasonal blend without overbuying.

  • Best for: Pouches, flat-bottom bags, tins, jars, cold-brew bottles
  • Recommended stock: Matte on white BOPP; gold foil for reserve lots
  • Typical shape: Rectangle or round seal
  • Proof: Free digital proof

What coffee brands should think about

One design per roast

Each origin or blend is its own design. Keep a consistent layout and change colour, name and notes, so a range reads as a family on the shelf.

Textured kraft bags

Kraft and matte bags have a slightly rough surface. Apply on a flat area away from the fold and the one-way valve.

Leave a field for the roast date

Printed artwork is fixed, so leave a blank box or line for a stamp or a hand-written roast date.

Cold-brew and RTD bottles

Condensation on chilled bottles is exactly what waterproof BOPP is for. Apply to a dry bottle before chilling.

Our recommendation

Material and finish

Matte finish on our standard white stock gives the natural, café look and shrugs off coffee oil and wet hands. Use gold foil for a limited reserve or gift tin, and clear stock if you want kraft bags to show through behind your artwork.

Please note: Food labelling rules (for example bilingual English/French, net quantity, ingredient and allergen statements, nutrition facts) differ between Canada and the US and by product. We print the artwork you supply and do not review labels for regulatory compliance; check requirements with the CFIA (Canada) or the FDA/USDA (US) or a qualified adviser.

Questions about coffee labels

Do labels hold up on oily coffee bags?

Our BOPP stock is oil-resistant on the surface and the adhesive is permanent. Test one label on your bag type, since some bag coatings vary.

Can I order several blends at once?

Yes, add each design as its own item in the same checkout, each with its own proof and quantity.

Can you add a roast date?

The printed artwork is fixed. Leave space for a stamp or hand-written date, or ask for a custom quote if you need variable data.

Which size should I choose for a 12 oz bag?

Many roasters use a front label around 3 × 4 inches, but measure your own bag. Proof-sized paper cut-outs help.

Paper-look labels

Many brands want the soft, natural look of a paper label.

Bakery labels

Bakery packaging is usually plain kraft, white boxes and clear bags, which makes the label the whole brand.

Custom roll labels

Roll labels are the workhorse of product packaging: printed on a continuous roll so you can hand-apply them to jars and bottles or feed them through a label applicator.
