Waterproof labels for products that get wet
Paper labels wrinkle, bleed and lift when they get wet. Our standard stock is a white BOPP film, a plastic that does not absorb water, so labels stay flat and legible on chilled drinks, soap, bath products and anything that sees condensation.
- Material: White BOPP film (waterproof) with matte or gloss finish
- Adhesive: Permanent
- Good for: Fridges, bathrooms, condensation, wipe-downs
- Honest limits: See the note below

Good to know
Where waterproof labels earn their keep
Chilled and iced products
Bottles that sweat in a cooler or fridge keep their labels. Apply to a clean, dry bottle at room temperature and give the adhesive time to bond before chilling.
Wet-area household products
Soaps, shampoos, cleaning sprays and shower-shelf bottles survive splashes and wipe-downs without the artwork peeling or smudging.
Handling and shipping
Labels that scuff less look better after a trip through a warehouse and a delivery van.
Outdoor and gardening
Plant tags and garden products see rain and dew. Colours can still fade in long, direct sun, so treat outdoor use as short to medium term.
Our recommendation
Our material recommendation
Use our standard white stock with gloss finish for the most water-shedding surface, or matte finish if you prefer a softer look. If your product sits in a freezer, choose the freezer-grade white stock instead, whose adhesive is made for cold storage. For clear bottles, clear stock gives a no-label look that also keeps its shape when wet.

Need to know
Questions about waterproof labels
Are your labels waterproof or water-resistant?
The standard BOPP stock does not absorb water, so we call it waterproof. We do not claim dishwasher, submersion or long-term outdoor performance.
Will the ink run if the label gets wet?
The printed side is protected by the finish, so ordinary splashes and condensation do not make colours run. Scratching with a sharp tool can still mark any label.
Can I put waterproof labels on a curved bottle?
Yes, as long as the label does not wrap more than the container curve allows. Smaller labels on tighter curves lie flatter.
Is there a removable waterproof option?
Our adhesive is permanent. If you need a label that peels off cleanly, see our removable labels page and ask us about options.

Custom roll labels
Roll labels are the workhorse of product packaging: printed on a continuous roll so you can hand-apply them to jars and bottles or feed them through a label applicator.
Clear labels
Clear labels print your artwork on a transparent film so the glass, plastic or metal underneath shows through.
Freezer labels
Ordinary adhesives lose their grip when the temperature drops, so labels curl and fall off.
Removable labels
Removable labels peel off cleanly without leaving residue, which makes them handy for price tags, events and temporary promotions.
