The basics
What is a DTF gang sheet?
DTF stands for direct-to-film. Your artwork is printed in full colour onto a clear transfer film, and the finished transfer is then pressed onto a garment or other fabric with heat. A gang sheet is one long sheet of that film that carries a whole set of designs side by side: a front print, a pocket logo, a sleeve mark, a few spare copies of the one that always sells out.
Because you pay for the length of film rather than for each design, the more tightly your designs are packed, the less each transfer costs. That is what the builder is for: it shows you the sheet to scale, lets you drag, resize, rotate and duplicate designs, and can arrange them for you.
How it works
From upload to print-ready sheet in four steps
1. Pick a sheet
Choose a preset length or enter a custom length, and how many identical sheets you want. The price is the film area times the per-square-foot rate and updates as you change size or quantity.
2. Add designs
Drop in your files. Transparent PNG gives the cleanest result. SVG and PDF files are turned into 300 dpi images in your browser, and a simple background remover can clear a solid backdrop from a JPG or PNG.
3. Arrange
Drag designs into place with snap-to guides, or use Auto-arrange to pack them. Fill sheet repeats a design until the sheet is full, and Suggest size picks the shortest sheet that holds everything.
4. Check and order
Each design is rated for resolution at the size you placed it. When you are happy, add the sheet to your cart. We create a print-ready PDF of your layout at the exact sheet size.
Artwork tips
Getting a clean transfer
Most problems with a gang sheet come from the artwork, not the printing. A few habits make a big difference:
- Use a transparent background. A design on a white box will print the box. If your file has a solid backdrop, remove it before you order, and check the result on the sheet: removing white can also remove white lettering that belongs to the design.
- Size it first, then judge the resolution. A design is rated at the size it has on the sheet. Making it bigger lowers its resolution, so aim for about 300 dpi at the final printed size.
- Leave room between designs. The builder keeps a small gap and an edge margin by default so each transfer can be cut apart and pressed on its own. Designs that touch are hard to separate.
- Crop to the artwork. Empty space around a design is wasted film. Tight edges let the packer fit more on the sheet.
Colours on screen and on film can differ a little, so treat the on-screen sheet as a layout guide rather than a colour proof.

Choose the length you need
Every sheet uses the same film width (up to 22 in). Pick a preset length below or a custom length in the builder. Price is the sheet area in square feet times the rate shown — that is the price you pay per sheet. Ordering several identical sheets in one go is a single cart line.
Priced at $3.50 per square foot of film (sheet width × length). Custom lengths from 12 to 240 in are also available in the builder.

Questions about DTF gang sheets
What is a DTF gang sheet?
It is one sheet of direct-to-film transfer that holds many designs. Each design is cut out after printing and pressed on separately, so a single sheet can cover a whole order of different prints.
How is the price calculated?
Price is the film area (sheet width × length ÷ 144) times the per-square-foot rate, rounded to the nearest cent. A 22 × 24 in sheet is 3.667 sq ft. Quantity discounts, if any, apply on top. Transparent PNG uploads work best; SVG, PDF, JPG and WebP are converted in your browser.
How do I choose a sheet size?
Add all your designs, press Suggest size and the builder works out the shortest preset (or a custom length) that holds them with the spacing you set. A little spare room is worth keeping in case you want to add a design later.
What happens to my layout after I order?
We build a print-ready PDF of your sheet at the exact size you ordered, with each design embedded at full resolution and transparency preserved, and we keep your original design files with the order. Check the layout on screen first: we print the sheet as you submit it.
