Barcode and SKU labels printed from your artwork
If each product has its own fixed barcode, a printed label per SKU is a tidy way to get it onto the pack. We print the barcode as part of your supplied artwork. We do not generate barcodes, number labels sequentially or print variable data in the instant quote.
- Best for: One fixed barcode or SKU per design
- Recommended stock: White matte BOPP

Making scannable labels
You supply the barcode
Send a vector barcode from your barcode source or the GS1 data you have. We do not create or verify barcode numbers.
Keep quiet zones
Leave a clear margin around the bars, and keep high contrast; a dark bar on white is the safest.
Test-scan the proof
Scan the proof on screen or on a printout before you approve, then test an actual label if you can.
One SKU, one design
Each different barcode is its own design. Many SKUs means many designs, so consider whether another system suits you better.
Our recommendation
Our recommendation
Use white stock with matte finish for good contrast and no glare. Avoid gloss when scanners struggle with reflections. For hundreds of different codes, a thermal printer in your warehouse is usually the better fit.
Typical sizes
Sizes people usually order
These are starting points, not limits: the instant quote accepts your exact size. Measure the flat area of your container first.
| Use | Typical size | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Small SKU | 1.5 × 1 in | Product pack |
| Standard | 2 × 1 in | Retail tags |
| Shelf label | 3 × 1.5 in | Bin labels |
| Square code | 1.5 in square | QR/Data Matrix |
