Frozen food labels for meals, desserts and bulk packs

Frozen food considerations

Apply before freezing

Apply to clean, dry containers at room temperature and let the adhesive set before freezing.

Thaw cycle

Labels also see condensation when the product thaws. Waterproof film copes with moisture.

Bulk bags

Flexible bags are harder than rigid tubs; use smaller labels on flat areas.

Information

Plan room for date, name and ingredients; leave a field for a handwritten date.

Our recommendation

Material and finish

Choose the freezer-grade white stock for frozen products and test on your own packaging. For chilled only, our standard waterproof stock is usually enough.

Please note: Food labelling rules (for example bilingual English/French, net quantity, ingredient and allergen statements, nutrition facts) differ between Canada and the US and by product. We print the artwork you supply and do not review labels for regulatory compliance; check requirements with the CFIA (Canada) or the FDA/USDA (US) or a qualified adviser.
