Warehouse labelling notes
Big, simple text
Readable from a metre away or more. Use high contrast and a bold font.
Colour coding
Zones by colour are quicker to follow than text alone.
Surface
Labels stick best to clean, dry metal, plastic or cardboard; dust and oil prevent adhesion.
Fixed artwork
Each label in a design is identical; variable numbering needs a different tool.
Our recommendation
Material and finish
Matte finish on white stock resists scuffs and wipes clean. Gloss may cause glare under warehouse lighting.

Barcode and SKU labels
If each product has its own fixed barcode, a printed label per SKU is a tidy way to get it onto the pack.
QR code labels
A QR code sticker can link a pack to a menu, a website, a review page or a how-to video.
Branded shipping and handling labels
These are custom-printed labels with your design: your logo on a box seal, 'Fragile' or 'This side up' warnings, packing-slip stickers.
Freezer labels
Ordinary adhesives lose their grip when the temperature drops, so labels curl and fall off.
