Warehouse labelling notes
Big, simple text
Readable from a metre away or more. Use high contrast and a bold font.
Colour coding
Zones by colour are quicker to follow than text alone.
Surface
Labels stick best to clean, dry metal, plastic or cardboard; dust and oil prevent adhesion.
Fixed artwork
Each label in a design is identical; variable numbering needs a different tool.

Material and finish
Matte finish on white stock resists scuffs and wipes clean. Gloss may cause glare under warehouse lighting.
