Design tip for this size
Keep text and logos inside a 7.875 × 6.875 in safe area and do not go below 8 pt. Large flat colour shows dust and fingerprints during application – a light texture or white background hides it.
A 8.25 × 7.25 in flat panel is ideal; for wraps pick containers around 2.63 in diameter or bigger for the 8 in length.
Against 9 × 6 in you gain 4% more face with 8 × 7 in, and going up to 10 × 6 in gives 7% more. The bigger 10 × 6 in runs about $14.55 extra for 1,000.

FAQ
Is 8x7 the same as 7x8?
Same label, different orientation. 8 × 7 in rotated is 7 × 8 in; the price does not change, and the unwind direction you choose decides how it feeds off the roll.
What do 1,000 8 × 7 in labels cost?
1,000 cost $545.71 – $0.546 a label – while the smallest run (100) is $177.76. The $45.00 artwork setup is charged once.
Do 8 × 7 in labels work in a label dispenser?
Yes. Ask for a 3″ core for table-top dispensers (about 1,800 a roll) or a 1″ core for handheld ones (about 480).
Do 8 × 7 in labels need bleed?
Yes – add 1/16″ on each side for 8.125 × 7.125 in overall (2,438 × 2,138 px at 300 dpi) and keep text inside the cut line.
