Artwork checklist
Set your canvas to 2738 × 1538 px, put an 8.875 × 4.875 in guide inside it, and nothing smaller than 8 pt. Big labels go on easier from one edge: plan the design so a slight shift of 0.09 in is not noticeable.
Flat surfaces should measure 9.25 × 5.25 in or more. Used as a wrap, 9 in covers a bottle of about 2.94 in diameter almost completely.
Over 10 × 4.5 in, 9 × 5 in offers 0% extra label area, while the next size, 5.5 × 8.5 in, is 4% roomier. Stepping up to 5.5 × 8.5 in adds about $0.03 per 1,000 labels.

Good to know
Is 9x5 the same as 5x9?
Yes – it is one label turned 90°. We list width first (9 in) and height second (5 in); on a roll you choose which edge comes off first in the builder, so both orientations use this page and the same price.
What do 1,000 9 × 5 in labels cost?
1,000 cost $465.83 – $0.466 a label – while the smallest run (100) is $169.54. The $45.00 artwork setup is charged once.
Can I get 9 × 5 in labels on a 1 inch core?
Yes – roughly 660 max on 1″ (handheld dispensers), versus 2,500 on the standard 3″ core.
How do I set up 9 × 5 in label artwork?
Make the canvas 2,738 × 1,538 px (300 dpi) – that is 9.125 × 5.125 in including bleed – and keep text off the outer 1/16″.
