Choosing a jar label
Lid label
Round labels on lids show up when jars are stacked. Match the lid diameter minus a small border.
Side label
Measure the flat part of the jar. Avoid the curved shoulder and base.
Wrap labels
A wrap-around carries more text; leave a small gap at the seam.
Surface prep
Wipe jars clean and dry; oil, wax or sugar residue prevents sticking.
